There are many ways you can get involved in supporting our work – as an individual or as an organisation.
While we have a full-time team that is driving our work forward, the overwhelming majority of our drivers and warehouse colleagues are volunteers. And these people are the lifeblood of our organisation. In 2018, for example, our volunteers in Leicester and Holmewood (Near Chesterfield) completed almost 12,000 hours of work for FareShare East Midlands.
In many instances, our volunteers are the frontline ambassadors between FareShare East Midlands and our Members. And they are certainly the people who ensure our warehouses operate efficiently. That's what we call commitment and we are deeply appreciative of their continuing support.
Raising the profile of FareShare East Midlands and helping us raise the much-needed funds that enable our regional centres do more is also something you may feel inclined to get involved with?
If you do, please take a look at some of the ideas we have got that might make life easier. Please click here to find out more.
And, if you can help us reach out to groups and charities in your area that need food, please complete the short application form (on the right of this page). The information you provide to us will help us get the ball rolling quickly.
