Make a difference: become a volunteer

People like you are our lifeblood. So why not come and join us?

If you are like most people, it's likely you will believe everyone is entitled to have a roof over their heads at night, be able to receive a good education and free medical care, and tbenefit from least one decent, daily meal. All of these things should be possible, surely? After all, Britain is the world's sixth largest economy!

That might sound all well and good, but the reality for 8.4 million people in the United Kingdom is very different. Many are struggling with their household finances; many are trapped in debt; and more than five million people are experiencing what is called "abject poverty".

That's why we urgently need people like you to join us. For FareShare Midlands needs to do more to help our Members support the growing numbers of people who are finding themselves in need.

We have a variety of volunteer roles that are stimulating and rewarding, anything from driving to working in one of our warehouses. For every hour you are able to donate to FareShare Midlands, you will have the satisfaction of knowing your work has directly benefitted many people in the region. You'll be able to work with a great bunch of like-minded people. And you'll also be able to gain invaluable experience, if you are seeking to get back into work.

We can't offer you a cash payment for your endeavours. But we can pay your travel expenses and let you have some food to take home at the end of your shift as a 'thank you' for your support.

Sound interesting? If the answer is 'yes', please get in touch.
