How surplus food is transforming lives

We are the largest charity in the East Midlands committed to fighting hunger and food waste.

And we believe that everyone has a right to receive at least one meal every day of the week. We redistribute surplus food to hundreds of charities in the region who turn it into delicious and nutritious meals – and start the process of transforming and changing lives.

How we fight hunger and food waste...

FareShare East Midlands saves good food from going to waste

In 2018, FareShare East Midlands Members shared 1,200 tonnes of food, which helped them support 27,000 people every week.

We distribute 'surplus food' throughout the East Midlands

From Chesterfield to Leicester, and from Lincoln to Daventry (and everywhere in between) our food is used all over the region.

To charities, schools, community groups and hostels

We supply Members, including breakfast clubs, homeless hostels and refuges, with great food. And we'll support anyone who needs our help.

Who turn it into nutritious meals for people in need

Our Members are run by some amazing, selfless people. Last year, they used our 'surplus' foods to create almost three million meals.
