Introducing the people dedicated to meeting your needs...
At FareShare East Midlands, we share the common goals of eliminating food hunger and food waste. Our purpose as a team is simple – we want to turn these two ambitions into reality as soon as we possibly can. And with our Members help, one day we will.
Simone is a founder of FareShare East Midlands, having been instrumental in its launch in 2007. She is passionate about ensuring as many people as possible in the East Midlands are able to access nutritous surplus food. Simone has been leading the regional operation for several years and, in 2017, she was promoted to the position of Director.
Head of Operations
Andy joined the regional team in July 2017, after being retained as a consultant to oversee the move to our new South Wigston headquarters in Leicester. At FareShare East Midlands, Andy has overall responsibility for the smooth running of operations and logistics within our regional centre warehouse environments in Leicester and Holmewood.
Head of Membership
Alyson leads the Membership side of FareShare East Midlands. She has a strong track record in customer service, gained working in senior roles prior to joining the region. Today, Alyson uses her skills and experience to help charities and community groups gain the most from their relationship with the region. She manages a three-strong customer service team.
Warehouse and Logistics
Mark is an accomplished logistics professional who has been involved in the transport world most of his working life. At FareShare East Midlands, he oversees a team of experienced and enthusiastic staff and volunteer drivers working out of our three sites. These people are the frontline representatives of the regional team every day of the week.
CEC Project Manager
Colin leads the innovative surplusfood scheme we manage on behalf of Central England Cooperative Society. Colin, who has considerable management experience gained in the logistics sector, joined FareShare East Midlands in 2017. In a short space of time, his team has made a huge impact, providing our Members with a first-class service.
A highly experienced manager, Sue joined the FareShare East Midlands team in 2014, after a successful period leading the RAF Association’s fundraising efforts. Sue is responsible for generating a six-figure sum of money every year, which helps FareShare East Midlands continue to support ever-larger numbers of Members in the region.
Rachel leads our Holmewood warehouse operation, comprising three staff members and up to 10 volunteers, which is located close to Chesterfield. Prior to joining the regional staff in 2018, Rachel volunteered for FareShare East Midlands and worked, rather interestingly, for the Clifton Urban Park in Rotherham.
Richard has held a variety of senior management positions in the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. He has been a business development director and, most recently, the Fundraising Manager at a major UK charity. He joined FareShare East Midlands in 2019. His remit is to develop the volunteer experience so it is the best in class.
Camille joined FareShare East Midlands in 2017 and, since then, has played a leading role in supporting Members in Derbyshire and the wider region. She plays a key role in recruiting charities and community groups, and is regularly found at networking and 'think tank' events which explore new ways to support vulnerable people.
Breakfast Club Coordinator
Clare works in a part-time capacity for FareShare East Midlands, spearheading our work with schools, particularly in Derbyshire, who need support in setting up and running breakfast clubs. These clubs help staff give essential support to young people experiencing food poverty, and the food Clare is able to offer is invaluable to so many.
Billie-Jo is one of the most recognised and popular people within FareShare East Midlands, as she speaks to our Members every week. And when she isn't talking to them on the phone, Billie-Jo is visiting them. Billie-Jo is a key member of the Membership team, and her role is to ensure Member needs are met – particularly in relation to their weekly food deliveries.
Stella is the newest recruit of the FareShare East Midlands Membership team and she is based at our regional centre in South Wigston. She works closely with Billie-Jo Elms and reports directly to Alyson Oliver. Offering support to our Members and ensuring they are satisfied with their food deliveries are key parts of Stella's role.
